Brown Motors Reviews: 2014 Ford Transit Connect

2014-ford-transitconnect-wagonYour world is always active and never the same from one day to the next. That’s why there’s the all-new 2014 Transit Connect. It’s the multi-purpose vehicle that has everything you need to let you accomplish your goals.

Economy & Power

The new Transit Connect bridges the gap between the Ford C-Max hybrid hatchbacks and the coming Transit van, a full-size vehicle that one day will replace the Econoline. The Connect gets a front-wheel-drive setup related to the one in the focus, and a choice of either a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine or a 1.6-liter turbocharged four. Both are teamed to a six-speed automatic transmission. The net gas mileage, Ford says, will be at least 30 miles per gallon highway for at least some versions of the new Transit Connect.

Ford promises best-in-class load carrying ability as well, with the payload of a full-size pickup of at least 1,200 pounds and more than 100 cubic feet of cargo space. The passenger-oriented Wagon will still be able to tow up to 2,000 pounds!

Safety cacoon

Transit Connect is engineered for your safety. With the electronic safety control, auto clear windows & fast deicing you can concentrate on safe driving. The Safety Canopy System provides side-curtain airbags with roll-fold technology for all outboard passengers, and a rollover sensor, along with six standard airbags to wrap you in a cacoon of safety.

Multi-purpose for the multi-you.

The 2014 Transit Connect is ready for anything, just like the way you live. “You’ll be amazed at the flexibility of this wagon!” says Steve Brown of Brown Motors in Petoskey. No matter if it’s a home improvement project or a quick camping trip, Transit Connect has an interior designed for work and family adventures. Seats quickly flip & store flat for what ever life throws your way. Standard and long-wheelbase versions offer plenty of room for passengers and cargo.

Among the major options will be a panoramic roof; a choice of leather, cloth, or vinyl upholstery; a rearview camera; a touchscreen navigation system; and SYNC with MyFord Touch voice controls.

Brown Motors will see the new 2014 Transit Connect about spring time of 2014.  Stay tuned for more updates.
