The Chrysler Group has entered the fast lane with its April sales. According to a recent press release, the American carmaker has reported total U.S. sales of 178,652 vehicles, a 14% increase since last April and Chrysler Group’s best April sales in seven years.
While Dodge, Ram Truck, and Fiat all so substantial year-over-year sales gains last month, the true shining star was Jeep who increased 52% since last year. This astounding increase was the largest sales gain of any Chrysler Group brand during April and was the brand’s best sales month ever. Out of this single group, the Jeep Compass, Wrangle, and Patriot all posted their best sales for the month of April while the Ram pickup truck, Ram Cargo Van, Dodge Challenger, and Dodge Journey also hit a homerun with their best sales for the month of April.
“Strong consumer demand for our Jeep sport-utility vehicles and Ram pickup trucks continued in April as Chrysler Group extended its streak to 49-consecutive months of year-over-year sales gains,” said Reid Bigland, Head of U.S. Sales. “The spring selling season is heating up as our Jeep brand had its best monthly sales ever. Both of our minivans had a strong April and the Ram truck had its best April sales ever.”
