Fiat Chrysler recently announced a new business plan that concentrates on boosting sales by 60% and increase net profit five-fold by 2018. While the carmaker, which recently became a joint venture located in the Netherlands, is looking to increase this number through a global growth effort, its real focus is on its United States sales.
“The execution of the [Fiat Chrysler Automobiles] business plan announced on May 6 depends on the fact that the U.S. operations perform well,” said Sergio Marchionne, Chief Executive of the company.
Chrysler has come a long way since it filed for bankruptcy in 2009 and was then taken over by Fiat. According to recent reports, Chrysler sales have increased 17% in the past month, showing that the business plan Fiat-Chrysler has set is already working its mojo.
