The all-new 2015 Ford F-150’s success is crucial to the automaker. The F-150 is America’s best-selling vehicle, and Ford’s pride and joy. The new aluminum construction, which is promised to be just as tough as steel while offering increased fuel efficiency, isn’t fully understood by many. In order to educate both consumers and employees about everything there is to know about the new F-150, the automaker is installing “Truth about Trucks” kiosks in 1,900 dealerships nationwide.
According to Automotive News, the $5,000 kiosks promote the truck’s improved capabilities and fuel efficiency, and show why Ford chose aluminum over steel. The kiosks also showcase the F-150’s new features, technology, and updated design. Ford will cover about 70% of the 2015 F-150 kiosks for dealerships who met their sales goals for “Truck Month” in September and October.
The interactive kiosks will allow customers and employees to virtually submerse themselves in the new F-150 and better understand each step Ford took in creating it.
