Spring is finally here, and summer is close behind; across the country, millions of families are gearing up for a seasonal respite. Here at BrownMotors, we’d like to offer a few driving safety tips for your next road trip.
- According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), it is advisable to go in for a tune-up before hitting the open road to ensure that your tires, battery, belts, fluids, and air conditioner will all run smoothly during your trip. If you’d like to schedule a routine service inspection, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
- Be sure to get enough rest. The NHTSA estimates that 100,000 accidents occur annually due to driving fatigue. Don’t be part of that statistic! Drive when well-rested, take breaks, and share driving responsibilities with someone else.
- Think safety! The NHTSA also recommends that travelers pack a safety kit for those just-in-case scenarios that includes: water, blankets, a flashlight, jumper cables, flares, tools to change a tire, and a first aid kit. Please also use common sense and ensure that all passengers wear their seat belts.
We at Brown Motors wish all of our readers safe and happy travels during this new season!
