Mustang has had a lot of performance variants and special editions over the years. With such a brilliant history, the Ford Mustang has a right to celebrate where it came from. Even better than the Shelby GT350 and GT350R that are said to be the best Mustangs on the track is what may come in 2018. According to Automotive News, the Ford Mustang Mach 1 will return for the 2018 model year.
For any Mustang fan and muscle enthusiast, this is the best news of the day. The last time a Mustang Mach 1 was offered was over a decade ago in 2003 and 2004. At the time, the 4.6-liter V8 bumped power up to 310 horsepower, a 50-hp increase over the average Mustang.
The 2018 Mustang will also reportedly receive a new front fascia and ten-speed transmission. The ten-speed transmission will debut in the 2017 Ford F-150 Raptor before spreading to the entire F-150 lineup and Mustang.
If it has a V8 or twin turbocharged V6 engine, expect it to be mated to the new ten-speed!
If the mach 1 does come back, look for them here!
