Every year, Four Wheeler magazine has decided the best pickup truck of all trucks debuted that year. Their credibility is unquestionable. They’ve been judging these contests for a long time, 28 years in fact, and of the off-road enthusiast publications, Four Wheeler is the definitely the most reputable.
This year, the coveted Four Wheeler magazine Pickup Truck of the Year went to the 2016 Ram 1500 Rebel. With its rugged and capable design, there’s no question as why this particular truck took home the title.
The 2016 Ram 1500 Rebel features standard air suspension and a factory lift. The off-road-worthy truck also has skid plates, Bilstein shocks and tow hooks. Buyers get a choice of engines, from the powerful 5.7-liter HEMI V-8 and the 3.0-liter EcoDiesel.
For Four Wheeler, it was all about “balance.” According to editor Christian Hazel, “No matter what we threw at the Ram 1500 Rebel, it just flat-out worked with no drama, no excuses and no compromises.”
